How to bid
Register once, then bid on any lot. These are the questions we are asked most.
How do I register?
Create an account, open any lot and accept the conditions of sale. Registration is free and takes a minute.
What is a maximum bid?
The most you are willing to pay. We bid for you one increment at a time, only as far as needed to keep you in the lead, and never above your maximum.
What happens if someone bids in the last minute?
The lot's close is extended by two minutes so everyone has a fair chance to respond.
Is there a buyer's premium?
Not by default. If a lot carries one, it is shown on the lot before you bid and in the total you see when you confirm.
How do I pay?
When you win we place your order and email you. Payment is due within three days; we accept bank transfer and card by invoice.
How is my lot shipped?
Fully insured, tracked and signed for, worldwide. Duties and taxes outside the United States are the buyer's responsibility.
Can I see a lot before bidding?
Sales with a viewing say so on the sale page. For any lot, request a condition report and we send extra photographs or a video, or put a specialist on the phone.
